I generally appreciate the album by album move away from hardcore towards extreme metal. Yet for me personally, this is where the balance is perfect. Kind of like Metallica's Ride the Lightning: subsequent albums were more sophisticated and complex, yet less intense, too. Great to come back to, again and again.

This recording sounds fantastic. The songs are complex but are also concisely layered -- Blessings don't fuck around here and go for the throat with a unique spaced-punk noise/hardcore approach. Just a thought, but someone should make a "Mixed and Mastered by Magnus Lindberg" shirt. Hmm... I might be the only person to purchase though. Whatever. He's like a sound wizard - every album he touches sounds like a crystal clear recording of an airplane taking off. Quality stuff all around.
